Too good to be true... Shutterfly!

Can you really believe that December is already here, which means Christmas is fast approaching? You can feel the stress building, as you start counting down how many days you have left to get everything done. I know that I always LOVE to check things off my "LIST!" This year Shutterfly is making it easy to do just that. They are giving 50 Free Christmas Cards to you just for blogging about them! You read correctly. You can get high quality cards, just by letting the world know how wonderful Shutterfly is and what all they have to offer. After reading about this great deal, I was happy to see the 2010 holiday cards selection... which are too, too cute! So many to choose from... it will definitely be hard to decide! What? You would like to some I have been checking out...

I love the girly pink/red combo and the personalized initial on this holiday card.

The square is so sleek and modern. I also love the BIG font of "Merry Christmas!"

Oh now this is just TOOOOOOOO cute! I like the "movie clip" feel of this cards layout!

After checking out all the holiday cards I had to venture over to all the other GREAT Cards! SHUTTERFLY has truly thought of everything... they have it all, baby announcements, birthday cards, party invitations.

I didn't even mention the photo books and calendars that you can create. What great Christmas Gifts, especially for those family members that are so hard to buy for. Who doesn't love pictures?

Too good to be true... Shutterfly!
Happy creating!

Texans Against Crime

Texans Against Crime

Tuesday, October 13th

6:30-8:30 p.m.

Activity Center

Please join your neighbors for BINGO with prizes and a light sandwich dinner.

Tips for your yard...

Lawn Care Tips:
  • Fertilize your grass.  Healthy grass requires less water.
  • Raise your mower one notch.  The taller foliage will help provide more shade for the roots and soil around the grass plant.
  • Some people bag all their grass clippings.  One idea is to not bag the clippings a couple of times during a mowing season.
  • Check your sprinklers regularly.
  • Lastly, water your grass at the correct time of the day and the proper amount.  Experts recommend early in the morning, just before sunrise.

Rodents?!

Things that you can do to reduce rodent activity around your neck of the woods:
  • Keep all vegetarian cut down and reasonably controlled.  Remove pine straw and leaves.
  • Any wood kept in a yard must be neatly cut and stacked off the ground.
  • Do not allow pet food to sit out for over 30 minutes at a time when you are feed pets.  Keep any bulk pet food in a garbage can with a tight fitting lid.
  • Keep animal feces cleaned up out of the yard.
  • Encourage your neighbors to take an active part in eliminating rodent activity.

2009 Fishing Tournament

Hats off to Shawn Dyess for another successful and fun fishing tournament.  It was great to see all our neighborhood friends and their families outside and enjoying the beautiful weather.  I know that you agree when I say how awesome it is to be apart of such a family oriented neighborhood!  Thanks to everyone involved in helping and who came out and participated in the Millrun Annual Fishing Tournament.
